Capitol Latino

Politics, Culture, Reporters, Thieves

Tonight I dicovered that the man who sells me my weekly Street Sense newspaper used to be a biochemical engineer at the UCLA Medical Center, and that his father was a Tuskeegee Airman. I told him I buy Street Sense mostly for the poems. He told me he once wrote a poem for Street Sense, and that it is the only poem to ever make the front page. He wrote the issue’s date on the Street Sense I’d just purchased from him. I accidentally left the damn thing behind the pubside bar, where it was surely thrown away.
